A brand new SphereCat1.com!
Hi guys! Today I’m finally launching the new design for SphereCat1.com. It’s been in the works for months, and is completely different from anything I’ve tried before. Hopefully this one will stick around for a while!
You might notice something different around here, too. It’s because I just switched from WordPress to Tumblr for this blog. The old blog has moved to archive.spherecat1.com, so all of the older posts are still available. Comments have been disabled, however.
So why did I decide to switch away from WordPress, especially with 3.0 just out of the oven? I just didn’t need the power. WordPress is great if you want control of everything about your blog and have the time to deal with it. I don’t fall into either category.
I don’t have hundreds of readers (or any, really), and I don’t make a living off of this blog or anything along those lines. I just need a place to quickly share what I’m up to, and Tumblr provides exactly that! I still love WordPress, and I’ll probably be using it again in the future.
So, welcome to the new SphereCat1.com! I’m excited to see what I can do with it in the future, and I hope you’ll come along for the ride.
